WK2 Project - UDUTU Setup

2.“INTRO TO FLASH ANIMATION” - Steps to creating your first Flash animation.


3.Created in Multiple Learning Theories (EDM 511), September, 2009.


4.BEST PRACTICE ALGORITHM: This is an introductory course and is very procedural. A tutorial will be demonstrated and explained. It will be intermixed with multiple choice questions. Actual student assessment will have to be done in Adobe Flash.


5. This was created as an intro to the tutorial, however it will be retooled. The screenflow demonstration will have to be recreated as well.

  1. Hi Brian - I'm looking forward to your Flash tutorial. Several of my very visual friends are eagerly anticipating your instructions... McMahonimation style!

    Even as a professional Flash instructor with a strength in coding, I still struggle with the multi-nested structure required to build animations. The technical aspects of being able to show your creative ideas with this complex software tool are a huge barrier to entry for most graphic designers, a daunting process that dissuades most from continuing. I know that you will be able to make the process of Flash animation as approachable and fun as the results. Similar to my own research project, we're finding that there are visual ways to teach technical information to creative people.

    Can't wait to test-drive your lesson!

  2. I just went through your project. Your animation skills are extremely impressive and I love your sense of humor. I hope you are in the classroom using and teaching this stuff. I can't begin to understand how you make Udutu interface look unrecognizable. That's a really good thing because the template looks so institutional.
